Learn about cbd

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is an organic, phytocannabinoid molecule found in the hemp plant. That means CBD is an organic extract of natural hemp.

Our CBD oil is made by extracting the pure CBD molecules from hemp and combining it with pure hemp oil and hemp seed oil for a broad-spectrum of phytocannabinoids. This combination oil is then combined with grape seed oil and orange oil to give our CBD oil a deliciously fresh orange flavor for you to enjoy!

We believe CBD oil is for everyday use, as our multi-purified and refined hemp extract is laboratory tested as a harmonious complement to your bodies natural endocannabinoid system. We call our CBD oil a “broad-spectrum” product because it contains all of the original, organic hemp molecules, including β-caryophyllene, sterols, flavonoids, and terpenes!

Why should I take cbd?

The Effects of CBD Oil Within Your Body

Thanks to our proprietary extraction process, USA Medical CBD oil is a broad-spectrum product containing molecules already found within the human body, including essential omega fatty acids, phytocannabinoids, terpenes, sterols, and a rich mixture of flavonoids.

Hemp has been used in holistic healing medicines for centuries. After a few decades of ignorance, serious research is finally re-examining the incredibly positive effects CBD has on the body. One of the most important scientific discoveries to date is the discovery of the human bodies’ Endocannabinoid System.

The Endocannabinoid System – ECS

Your body is built on top of a system of connective tissue known as the Endocannabinoid System. The ECS was discovered in 1992 when a Czech chemist working with an American pharmacologist isolated the first known endocannabinoid molecule in the human brain. The ECS detects the presence or absence of molecules in your body and aids in the regulation and maintenance of homeostasis (meaning the ECS keeps your body running). The endocannabinoid system plays a role in the regulation of many bodily functions including:

  • Restful Sleep
  • Mood Regulation
  • Daily Appetite
  • Memory / Brain Function
  • Reproductive Health / Fertility

All cannabinoids, like CBD, use your body’s ECS receptors to communicate and influence bodily functions. Your body already produces cannabinoids to influence bodily functions, which means taking CBD complements a process your body is already undergoing!

ECS Research

Researchers believe there may be a biological problem if your body does not produce enough Endocannabinoids. Missing endocannabinoids can be replaced with natural phytocannabinoids that bind to their appropriate CB1 and CB2 receptors within your body, which is why we created USA Medical CBD!

Based on known research, the ECS is linked to the following bodily processes:

  • Immune System Regulation
  • Appetite and Digestion
  • Metabolic Processes
  • Pain Sensation Regulation
  • Immune Responses
  • Mood, Learning, and Memory
  • Motor Functions
  • Sleep and Wake Cycle
  • Cardiovascular Functions
  • Muscle Formation
  • Bone Transformation and Growth
  • Liver Function
  • Reproductive Functions
  • Stress Response
  • Nervous System Function

Research on the functions of the endocannabinoid system is ongoing. Well-known scientists are investigating exactly which receptors are the link between CBD and our body. Astra Zeneca’s specialists, who have been involved in the development of the coronavirus vaccine, are pioneering much of this research.

Currently, data does not allow for clear statements regarding the exact effects of CBD, but between all the promising research and millions of happy CBD users, we are excited for the future of both CBD and the ECS.

CBD cannot replace a healthy, balanced diet and proper consumption of vitamins and minerals, nor is there any proof CBD can cure or treat any disease.

How do I find the best cbd products?

Always Choose the Best Product for You!

When you buy CBD oil or CBD capsules, you need to find out how many milligrams (mg) of CBD the product contains. Each of our USA Medical products clearly shows how many milligrams of CBD each product contains to ensure continued transparency.

You can compare the price of different CBD oil products on the market by dividing the total cost of the product by the total mg of CBD. This will tell you what each company is charging you for 1mg of CBD.

For example:

USA Medical 3000mg CBD Oil – $129.99
$129.99 ÷ 3000mg of CBD = $0.04 / 1mg of CBD ]

Pure Kana 1000mg CBD Oil – $154
$154 ÷ 1000mg of CBD = $0.15 / 1mg of CBD ]

The cost of Pure Kana CBD oil is 375% higher than USA Medical!

This calculation is important because you are not buying an essential oil, you’re buying CBD.

Some companies don’t even tell you how much CBD their products contain! Any company that only indicates “total %” may contain far less CBD than your body requires, as other companies don’t spend money on 3rd party laboratory testing. Lucky for you, we at USA Medical send all of our products to multiple 3rd party laboratories for testing, to ensure you always get the best from us.

We’ve worked hard to guarantee that when you buy CBD from us, you’re buying the best CBD at the best price possible. While some companies only care about profit, we truly care about our product. Everyone that works at USA Medical regularly takes our CBD in their favorite form because we believe our product is only good enough for you if it’s good enough for our families.

First-time CBD users should understand how different concentrations of CBD typically affect users and what they can expect from lower/higher doses. The next segment details what you can expect from different CBD dosages.

how do I properly take cbd?

What Concentration of CBD Should I Choose? How Many Drops of CBD Oil Should I Take?

While there is no set, “proper” dose of CBD, users can expect a stimulating/invigorating effect from low doses and a calming/sedative effect from high doses. The most important rule when taking CBD is to closely monitor your daily CBD intake and adjust based on desired results.

Our Advice:

Start small, observe the effects, and increase as necessary.

  • Start with 3-5 drops of a lower concentration oil (500mg-1000mg) or 1-3 drops of a high concentration oil (3000mg) twice daily.
  • Increase daily intake until desired effects are reached. Because everyone’s bodies react to CBD differently, the dose is sufficient when you feel how you want to feel!

If you are taking CBD oil, ensure you leave the oil under your tongue for between 1-2 minutes before swallowing. CBD oil is absorbed best through the ultra-thin membrane under your tongue.

  • Waiting any less than 1 minute before swallowing will lower the potency of the CBD.
  • If you’d prefer a non-direct absorption-based CBD, try our CBD softgels created with nanoemulsion technology.

Understand your personal goals – what are you trying to achieve from the CBD?

  • Option 1 – Take higher doses right before bed.
  • Option 2 – Take multiple low doses throughout your day.
  • Option 3 – Take one low dose in the morning when you wake up.

CBD FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What Is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid molecule found mainly in the inflorescence of the hemp plant. One of the best known active compounds produced in hemp, from which they are extracted. It is also a natural ingredient in dietary supplements, cosmetics and is used as a medicine in many countries.

CBD is extracted using an extremely pure and expensive process called supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. CBD has no mind-altering effect and is not addictive.

What Are Phytocannabinoids?

Cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids. To date, more than 140 phytocannabinoids have been identified in hemp. Phytocannabinoids are compounds that, when introduced into the human body, act through cannabinoid receptors by interacting with the body’s endocannabinoid system.

In addition to CBD, our broad-spectrum CBD oil also contains many beneficial phytocannabinoids.

How Does CBD Work?

The effect of CBD oil is the result of its interaction with the human endocannabinoid system (ECS). The CBD molecule uses our own receptors to contact our body and influence its function.

The exact function of the receptors that provide the link between CBD and our body is still being studied today, however we know the ECS influences all body functions related to homeostasis.

What is a CBD Oil Dropper?

The CBD oil dropper is used to dispense the CBD oil under your tongue. Each drop of CBD oil contains a certain amount of CBD based on the concentration of the product you purchase.

What Is The Difference Between CBD Oil and Hemp Seed Oil?

CBD Oil is a broad-spectrum product containing both hemp seed oil and carefully extracted CBD molecules. Hemp seed oil is the pure base oil of the hemp plant, containing only trace amounts of CBD. If the product is not “broad-spectrum,” it likely does not contain any natural phytocannabinoids.

What Other CBD Products Exist?

As the CBD industry grows, CBD is becoming widely used in a number of different products. CBD is best when used in products easily processed by your body including USA Medical CBD Oil, CBD Softgels, and CBD Skin Cream.

Additionally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a specific cannabidiol (CBD) oral solution for the treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome, in patients two years of age and older.
