Your chronic pain is not normal. For some unbeknownst reason most people today believe that after an injury, or because of a medical diagnosis they must live in pain for the rest of their lives without experiencing how do you make pain go away naturally – true pain relief, not just numbing the pain.
For hundreds of thousands of years our ancestors knew how to treat pain the correct way with natural holistic medicine that cured the root of the issue. In today’s world of modern medicine, you are a customer of these pharmaceutical companies, and they want you to keep coming back. This is why most large pharmaceutical companies only offer temporary pain relief.
Let’s dive into how you can once and for all cure your chronic pain at its source and live a healthier life overall.
How Do You Make Pain Go Away Naturally?: What is Pain?
Pain can be many different things, it can be emotional, physical, spiritual etc. But what is pain actually? In this blog we are going to specifically focus on physical or chronic pain that comes from an injury or health condition.
The primary definition of pain is:
“Pain is a signal in your nervous system that something may be wrong. It is an unpleasant feeling, such as a prick, tingle, sting, burn, or ache. Pain may be sharp or dull. It may come and go, or it may be constant (Medline).”
So in theory, it is true what they say – pain is all in your head. It is your brain’s reaction to something that has triggered your nervous system indicating that there is an issue and it should probably be addressed.
There are two primary kinds of pain that are experienced: Nociceptive, and Neuropathic. Nociceptive pain is primarily acute and not long-lasting – Neuropathic is pain felt due to a brain or nervous system injury and is mostly chronic. Pain can be constant, it can be dull or throbbing, or feel like a sharp stab. Pain can be acute which means that it comes on suddenly and leaves suddenly such as when you get hit with something. It can also be chronic which means that it sticks around and does not fade over time such as arthritic pain or pain from an injury such as an ACL tear in your knee.
As this pain travels through your nervous system and into your brain’s pain receptors that respond to pain can be pretty debilitating to you depending on how badly it hurts.
For example, if you were to tear your ACL ligament in your knee from skiing the pain felt from that would at first be acute, due to the acute nature of injury itself then the pain would be chronic after surgery because of the healing process and how long it will take for the new ligament to heal.
Pain can be a horrible thing to deal with because it is relative to each person. However no matter how badly you may feel there are natural holistic solutions that can drastically help with pain relief.
How Do You Make Pain Go Away Naturally?: How To Help
There are options other than over the counter medications for pain relief. Let’s go through a couple of them that are the most important and allow your body to heal fully and completely.
Cannabigerol or CBG is considered the “stem cell” of the hemp plant. This is because it is the first cannabinoid that is present in hemp. It acts as the base for all of the other cannabinoids that can be extracted from a hemp plant.
CBG can be used for a wide range of different things such as anti-anxiety help, energy boosts and inflammation and pain relief. CBG is most notable for its ability to reduce inflammation and pain in your body at its source so that overtime will no longer be an issue.
CBG does this by interacting with something called the endocannabinoid system or ECS which is a network of receptors already built into our bodies that enables hemp extracts to work. CBG interacts with both the CB1 and CB2 receptors which are in the mind and body to be able to deliver pain and inflammation relief wherever it may be needed.
This reason CBG works better than over the counter pain medications is because it doesn’t just numb the pain – it actually targets the pain source and works to eliminate it completely which leads to longer lasting recovery.
One of the reasons that turmeric is included in this list of natural pain relievers is because of its ability to fight inflammation. Turmeric is one of the most abundant species in the world, and not only flavors food but is also medicinal in nature and has been used as a powder, and paste for hundreds of years to fight infection and decrease inflammation.
The primary ingredient in turmeric is something called curcumin. Curcumin is what has the ability to eliminate inflammation in your body.
“It may also help in the management of exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness, thus enhancing recovery and performance in active people. In addition, a relatively low dose of the complex can provide health benefits for people that do not have diagnosed health conditions. Most of these benefits can be attributed to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects (NCBI).”
This curcumin is able to fight inflammation at a cellular level and reduce swelling. Turmeric has also been shown to be a powerful antioxidant and has the ability to fight off infection and strengthen the immune system’s response to infection.
This is due to its ability to fight free radicals and can be looked at as a “chain breaking” antioxidant because of how it breaks through lipids and bad bacteria (NCBI).
In recent years magnesium has exploded onto the holistic health scene as an incredible supplement to take on a daily basis because it is responsible for over 300 different reactions in your body. This is quite an impressive statistic when considering how many reactions are happening in your body on a daily basis.
Magnesium is primarily responsible for cellular regeneration which is why it is recommended to be taken at night so while your body is sleeping magnesium can recharge, and boost your overall cell health.
Most people are living magnesium deficient lives and they do not even realize it. Once you start to take magnesium at night a lot of your body’s stress and anxiety will start to fade as your cells are at a healthy sustainable level of energy.
Happiness and health start at a cellular level and that is why taking magnesium or getting the proper amount is important to your overall health.
How Do You Make Pain Go Away Naturally?: Final Thoughts
To reiterate, pain should not be an everyday occurrence that you live with. Being in pain, especially chronic pain doesn’t have to be your life. It is important to understand this and that there are solutions out there for you so that no more suffering has to happen.
Taking things like CBG, Turmeric, and Magnesium is a small step in the right direction to live a life that is pain free! You will feel healthier, and be able to do things that you might not have been able to do before because of chronic pain and inflammation.
